CASHED UP: Wangaratta Golf Club men’s captain Russell Wallace won a long standing bet with playing partners Ian Rundell and Andrew Stevens when he hit a hole in one on the second.
WANGARATTA Golf Club men’s captain, Russell Wallace, collected on a long standing bet recently when he hit an ace on the second hole.
Wallace’s shot initially looked well short off the tee, touching down around 50m before the green.
As he started to complain about a sore back and turn around to collect his bag, his playing partners, Ian Rundell and Andrew Stevens, watched in disbelief as the ball approached the cup.
The ball continued on its trajectory, incredibly rolling straight into the hole, only for Wallace to make a remarkable recovery and leap into the air in excitement, followed by planting some stubbly kisses on his playing partners.
