Shop targets those less fortunate this Christmas

GOOD CAUSE: (l-r) Myrtleford Target’s Joan Grimm, Carly Monshing, Kathi McGregor and appeal organiser Lorraine McCarthy gear up to Christmas.
MYRTLEFORD Target is urging local communities to give to those less fortunate this Christmas and place a gift under the UnitingCare Share Christmas Gift Appeal tree.
Organiser Lorraine McCarthy said last year’s appeal was a success, with gifts flooding in close to Christmas.
"We got off to a slow start last year, but by the end we had a fantastic response," she said.
"It’s great to see the generosity of locals in giving to needy families."
The gifts are distributed to local families who may otherwise go without at Christmas, bringing a smile to the face of underprivileged kids.
The UnitingCare Share tree can be found inside the front door of Myrtleford Target.
To contribute, buy or make a suitable gift to donate beneath the tree, or purchase a gift voucher and specify it is for the appeal.
