NO MODEL: Former Mansfield boy Lucas Williams voluntarily left the Channel Seven Make Me A Supermodel series.
Written by RHYLL MOORE.

MANSFIELD’S modelling hopeful Lucas Williams bowed out of the Channel Seven reality TV series, Make Me A Supermodel, on his own terms.

Lucas, a former Mansfield resident, had successfully survived several weeks on the program despite being nominated for a public eviction.

"Half way through I realised it wasn’t for me," Lucas told judges.

"I wish all the other contestants all the best, and I hope one of them goes off and becomes a supermodel."

When asked by the judges why he had decided to leave, Lucas replied he wanted to pursue a career in acting.

"Aren’t you essentially just being a quitter?" judge Martin Walsh asked.

"This isn’t quitting, this is letting go," Lucas replied.

"To everyone out there who voted for me, everyone out there who supported me - thank you very much, I really appreciated it."

Make Me A Supermodel airs on Channel Seven at 7.30 pm Thursdays.
