FOR some students seeking an independent school education, scholarships are a window of opportunity to a learning experience that might not normally be available.
Melbourne Grammar School offers a number of scholarships based on outstanding ability, academic merit and musical ability.
Scholarships carry substantial and varying remission of fees during students’ time at the school.
Scholarships also provide the means to develop well-rounded students who might not otherwise have the opportunity to achieve their potential.
At Melbourne Grammar, like many other schools, scholarships are funded by bequests, gifts to the school and by the school council.
Encouraging and rewarding ability through the annual awarding of scholarships is just one way that Melbourne Grammar continues its long and proud history of fostering learning in the city and the country.
Melbourne Grammar’s scholarship examination for entry into years seven and nine in 2008 will be held on March 1.
Applications should be completed online via the school’s website www.mgs.vic.edu.au by February 21.
