College celebrating enormous success

BUILDING FOR THE FUTURE: After a successful round of HSC results in 2007, St Paul’s College is hoping for continued success in 2008.

SCHOOL may be out for summer, but St Paul’s College, Walla Walla, is still celebrating its enormous successes in 2007.

In terms of this year’s HSC results, the school was ranked third in the Riverina with eight per cent of its year 12 students scoring in band 6.

This was an excellent result and the school is looking to continue to build on this success well into the future.

St Paul’s draws day/boarding students from local communities; the cities of Albury/ Wodonga; the greater Riverina area; North East Victoria; as far away as Western Australia, the Northern Territory and Tasmania.

St Paul’s provides strong academic programs with opportunities to specialise in agriculture and equine studies from years 8-12.

It also prides itself on its academic programs and its well-supported extra rural activities, irrespective of whether students head towards studies at university or TAFE, further training or employment.

The college is proud to offer several exciting new scholarships for 2009.

The Riverina Churches Scholarship provides the opportunity for a student who belongs to a Christian congregation from within the Riverina to study at St Paul’s College.

This scholarship is offered to Christian families in the local area to support them with the upbringing of their children.

The intention of the Lutheran Primary School Scholarships is to provide opportunities for students who are completing their primary schooling in a Lutheran Primary School to continue their learing at St. Paul’s College from 2009.

Academic scholarships are also offered, on the basis of academic merit, to students commencing year seven in 2009.

These scholarships have tenure of three years.
