FINANCIAL counselling services through the Mansfield Shire Council is about to be halved.
Consumer Affairs Victoria (CAV) recently notified council that funding for the locally based financial counselling service, which currently operates two days per week, will be more than halved from July 1.
The service has been delivered by council to the Mansfield Shire community for more than 15 years.
It will now be reduced to four hours per week for on the ground service delivery.
Council is intending to make a submission to the Minister for Consumer Affairs, Heidi Victoria, against these funding cuts.
As the submission has to be in very shortly your support is needed urgently.
