BEECHWORTH Historical Re-enactment Group is preparing for a huge Ned Kelly Weekend this August 9-11. Member Keith Warren said this year there are plans to re-enact the famous siege at Glenrowan and burn down a replica of Mrs Jones' Hotel. Ned's Mother, Ellen Kelly, will also stand trial once again. Key speakers will include Ian Jones, who will be launching his latest book, along with Michael Beattie and Daniel Goonan.

A THIRD independent has announced their intention to run for the seat of Indi at September's federal election.
