THE under 12 game commenced at 10.30 am last Saturday after the younger age group cleared the frost off the oval.

Lots of great play from all of the boys had coaches congratulating their players at every opportunity and the display of skills continues to improve each week.

Coach Bo Christopher, while delivering his three quarter time speech, asked his players "Have all of you seen Forrest Gump – do you know what they say in the movie?".

"That’s right, run Forrest, run.

"I want all of you to go out there and run like Forrest and tell your parents that I said you can have the afternoon on the couch."

The boys certainly listened and went into the last quarter ‘fired up’.

The ‘ever tough’ Tom Sheahan copped a good ‘winding’ and looked like coming off for the quarter, but found some grit and played out the quarter with courage.

Allister Bennett for the Bombers kicked a fabulous goal in the third quarter, running a good 20 metres towards goal and putting the footy straight through the middle .

Coaches remind all players to attend training sessions to enable their skills to continue to develop.

Both teams train at the Lords ground on Wednesday nights from 4pm to 5pm.
